Das ESSEPA-Projekt (European Sport Safeguarding Education and Promotion Action) ist ein zweijähriges, von Erasmus+ gefördertes Kooperationsprojekt zur Stärkung von Schutz und Sicherheit im europäischen Hochschulsport. Ziel ist es, durch die Entwicklung einer innovativen Online-Lernplattform praxisnahe Bildungsangebote zum Thema Safeguarding bereitzustellen und das Bewusstsein für Schutzfragen im Universitätssport nachhaltig zu erhöhen.
Zum offiziellen Projektstart trafen sich im Januar 2026 alle zehn Partnerorganisationen in Ljubljana, um Inhalte, Arbeitsstrukturen und die nächsten Schritte festzulegen. Unter der Koordination des EUSA Institute arbeiten Hochschulen, Sportverbände und Organisationen aus mehreren europäischen Ländern gemeinsam an der Entwicklung von Bildungsmodulen, Leitlinien und praxisorientierten Materialien, die künftig online zugänglich sein werden.
Für den Liechtensteiner Hochschulsport (LHSV) ist ESSEPA eine besondere Premiere: Es handelt sich um das erste internationale Projekt, an dem der LHSV beteiligt ist. Die Teilnahme markiert damit einen wichtigen Meilenstein in der Weiterentwicklung und Internationalisierung des Hochschulsports in Liechtenstein. Mehr Informationen zum Projekt: Link
The ESSEPA project (European Sport Safeguarding Education and Promotion Action) is a two-year Erasmus+ funded cooperation initiative aimed at strengthening safeguarding and safety in European university sport. Its main objective is to develop an innovative online learning-platform that provides practical educational resources on safeguarding and raises long-term awareness of protection issues within higher education sport.
The official kick-off meeting took place in January 2026 in Ljubljana, where all ten partner organisations met to define the project structure, key activities and next steps. Coordinated by the EUSA Institute, the consortium brings together universities, sport federations and organisations from several European countries to jointly develop educational modules, guidelines and practical materials that will be made available online.
For the Liechtenstein University Sports Association (LHSV), ESSEPA represents an important milestone: it is the first international project the organisation is participating in.
